Welcome to my August Crafting Adventures!
It’s a new month, which means a whole new set of projects and a lot of creative fun! I’m so excited to share what I’ve been up to, including some fantastic new plans for this month.
July Recap: A Whirlwind of Creativity
July was a busy and productive month, and I’m so proud of what I accomplished. I started by sharing a three-part video series on making adorable bears, followed by a video all about creating accessories like hats and purses. For the advent calendar, I made a beautiful Canadian-themed poinsettia ornament with a maple leaf. I also tackled a home decor project, crafting some fish-themed cushions for my wicker chairs. I even got a new i-cording machine and used it to create the stunning mane and tail for my new art doll horse, Ruth!
Meet Ruth!
Speaking of Ruth, she’s my latest art doll creation. I’m absolutely in love with how she turned out, especially her mane and tail, which were made using my new i-cording machine. She’s going to be a part of my August plans, and I can’t wait to share more about her.
August Plans: Bigger and Better!
This month, I’m focusing on taking my crafting to the next level. I’m planning to revamp my website and improve my videos by using a split-screen technique so you can see all the details up close. I’m also preparing for a craft fair on Vancouver Island, which means creating some amazing new projects. To get ready, I’ll be designing business cards with a QR code and my logo and creating laminated templates for my pieces, complete with cost analysis and materials lists.
I’m also exploring some new ideas, like incorporating “lapkins”—which I used for Ruth—into more of my projects. And, of course, there are some fun new projects on the horizon, including a frog project with macramé lily pads, an angel Christmas ornament, and a video tutorial on how to add beading to blanket stitching.
Stay tuned for more updates, and happy crafting!
